Ok I have read that at 21 weeks your baby can actually grab the umbulical cord. What exactly is your umbulical cord attached to? Is it near your belly button becuase sometimes my belly button feels funny like something is messing with it (besides my growing uteris). Any ideas?

Yeah I do feel her move... A LOT. Kicks, bumps, even hiccups! It's adorable.

LOL.. that is a silly question. But better than some others on here. The umbilical cord is connected to the baby where its belly button will be. Is also attaches to the placenta and that is how the baby gets its oxygen and nutrients. I always felt like something was playing with my belly button also but it isn't the baby. Hm-mm, never really figured out why. Good luck.

The umbillical cord is attached to the placenta that wraps around the baby. It's not attached in any way to a permanent part of your body. I love when babies move, it's so sweet. That't the only thing I miss about being pregnant.

The baby's umbilical cord is attached to the placenta. The placenta is attached to the wall of the uterus. It really isn't connected to the mother's belly button. Maybe the little one is just kicking away..:-)

First of all congrats! The baby is growing and moving which is changing your whole belly area which will make your belly button feel funny. Everything has to give a little.

that's probably just the baby pushing against the back of your belly button.

the umbilical cord is attached to the baby's belly button, and then to the placenta on the other end.

its true, it can grab it, but rather than it being attached to YOUR belly button, it is attached to the placenta to carry blood, oxygen, food etc to baby. when your baby is born, the cord will be cut, and over time will become the babys belly button!

no it doens't come from your belly button. the ubilical cord is attached to the uterus only. It might be coincedence that it happend to attach in the same area that your belly button is, but on your uterus, but I think maybe you feel the baby move...is that a possibility??

the umbilical cord is attached to your uterus. I have 3 children now and that funny feeling I had with all of my kids. I'm not sure what causes it, but all of my kids are fine.
