Because you dont consider yourself as a turk. You feel that you are Cypriot, not turkish.
That is bcoz all the abuses that turkish milicies have done all around middle east. Even, you have a divided island bcoz of them
.

This can be because you blame Turks for all the miseries you are going through. You may also be expecting that Greeks will embrace you if you tell them you hate Turks.
Actually, I hope this is really the case that you guys can really figure out how to live together with your Greek neighbours and stop becoming an issue for Turkey and Turks who have to save you everytime you are being murdered.

Negative self or national image
Inadequate self image
OR...cultural, political and historic differences & discrimination that have been passed on from generation to generation.
