First of all, the failure of WCW was not Eric Bischoff's fault like Vince McMahon would have you believe. When AOL bought out Time Warner, they decided that they didn't want wrestling to be a part of the Time Warner's television programming and chose to cancel it. Without a television station WCW became worthless and was then sold by AOL to Vince McMahon. The Monday night wars would still be going to this day if AOL hadn't bought out Time Warner.
When Eric Bishoff was in WCW he was fighting a loosing battle from day one. There were to many useless people working there trying to make themselves stars and not enough people trying to make the company better. Bishcoff had to do everything himself because so many others wouldn't go beyond working from 9-5. One person alone can't run a million dollar company and Bischoff found that out the hard way. I think he did better than dozens of others did before him.
Vince McMahon, who owns the wrestling media would like everyone to believe that Bischoff is an incompetent buffoon, but the truth is he was one of the guys who helped bring about the most successful era in the history of wrestling. So I don't think Bishcoff was a disgrace at all. I think he was one of the most revolutionary promoters in wrestling history. I think he did the best he could and what he did is still being carried over into what you see on both TNA and WWE television today.

Well, he did build WCW to the point where it overtook the WWF for a few years, and made a lot of people millions of dollars, so no, I don't think I'd call him a "disgrace".
Anyone starting a wrestling promotion would be lucky to have a man with the experience and success of Eric Bischoff in their booking department.

Not only is Eric Bischoff a disgrace, he's a manipulative bastard whose done a great disservice to the Wrestling Industrey. I think his book "Controversy Creates Cash" has forever solidified his position as the biggest connieving scumbag ever in history.

No he's not a disgrace, he's just a buisness man. But he is a backstabber though, I mean when he signed with Vince he spit in the face of every fan who ever watched the WCW.
