Kohler brand "low-boy toilet. Checked inside the tank, too. I stick the bolts of the tolilet seat into the holes on top of toilet, but they don't "come-out" on the "under-side" to screw the nuts-on. How can I keep the toilet seat from moving, without having something to attach the nuts to?

the only sane solution is to aquire studs long enough to recieve the wingnuts. if this is a problem ..using the toilet would be beyond ur ability as well. so a sturdy toilet seat wouldnt enhance ur quality of life .i think therapy would help at this point

Short of glueing it down it's going to move. I would suggest going to a plumbing supply store or a big hardware chain store (Rona or Home Depot type store) and take the supplied bolts (screws) with you and ask the salesperson to get you the same type of bolt only longer.....It'll only cost you a couple of dollars.

Get longer bolts...your local hardware store should have some. Just be sure to get the same thread.
