I don't know if there is an afterlife, but I'm taking a change of underwear just in case.

We die because we are not designed to live eternally. It would be nicer if we could at least live as long as a California redwood, but we can't and we don't. Phoohey.

There is no physical afterlife. We die and become mummies, or rot, or are eaten by worms and bugs. You could say (1)we live on through these bugs and worms, or possibly (2) we live on through our children, and (3) certainly in the memories of those who knew us when we were alive.

Is there a forelife and/or an afterlife? If the soul is immortal, then it is logical that we existed BEFORE as well as AFTER our human existence.

Buddhism (the Tibetan Book of the Dead) says that after one dies, the soul spends 49 days before reinhabiting another form. You should look into this: it is really quite fascinating.

It is also possible that the Christian view is true. God creates your soul, you live and when you die, you wait until Jesus returns and gives you your body back, after which you are judged and sent to Heaven (where they spend a lot of time singing hymns of praise) or Hell (which you will not like).

This indicates that God spends time creating new souls for the new humans that are born. He doesn't seem to have to bother with animals, even really smart dogs and chimps and dolphins.

In the Buddhist view, the world was created, and it runs pretty much on its own. Your fate is up to you. If you want to see where you are going, look at where you have been.

The thing that is certain is that once dead, we have a really hard time communicating with the living. That is why I don't have a definitive answer fort your question and why you asked it.

All definitive answers will necessarily be based on faith, and only one can be true. It is possible that they are all false, however, and the true answer is still unknown.

There is no logical indication that we are even SUPPOSED to be ABLE to know the answers. Just like your cat cannot understand electricity.

Everything has an allotted span so death is only the final moment of any life here, and is the natural culmination and also its purpose. The journey is unique to each of us and we hopefully can develop some real understanding on the way. Religions can give a moral code, aspire to being a true human being with love and compassion would seem to be a decent path There are lots of levels that you can reach when you die. it depends on how you have been and what you truly understand.

We die because according to the Bible, our creator intended that people should live for ever, fill the earth and be care takers of it. Our creator told Adam and Eve, the first human couple that they would surely die if they did what he told them not to do. Satan, the devil, influenced Eve to make the wrong choice and she convinced Adam, her husband to do the same. These wrongful acts by Adam and Eve caused them to lose their ability to live for ever and so they died. Death and sin were passed on to all generations. So what happens when we die?

The Bible tells us at Ec 9:5 and 10
(5) 'For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten'. (10) . 10 'All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She´ol, (the common grave of man kind) the place to which you are going'. So what hope is there for people?

Our creator's son, Jesus lived a perfect life here on Earth, but he lost his life. Since it was a perfect life, it could be exchanged as a ransom for the value of Adam's life. His death then opened the way for people to live for ever. Jesus said at John 3:35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. 36 He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

The Bible doesn't support the idea of an immortal soul. If it did, There would be no reason for Jesus to give his perfect life and no reason for him to restore people to life. This scripture shows us that people will return to life, but that our creator is interested in giving unending life only to people who will obey his rules.

There is an afterlife. All men have been appointed to die once. We have to die once so that our body will get replaced by better one. It's called a glorified body. All of the imperfection of our original body will vanish. This site can answer your questions further. ---> http://www.angdatingdaan.org

We die because God wants us to. We shouldn't live forever on this Earth. You should be happy you're going to die. After death is Heaven...Life Eternal. It will be wonderful. Glorious and everything you've ever wanted.

We die because our bodies wear out. Our bodies were only designed to last less than 30 years.
