I have a fake tree this year. I usually do fake one year and real the next. Depends on how much time i have to go out and find a nice real tree.

Fake - had a real one a few years ago. We left to visit relatives for a few days, came home, turned on the lights on the tree and it caught fire even though there was still water in the tree stand. Maybe there was a short in the lights, maybe it was the tree. I'd rather just get a pine-scented candle than have the house burn down.

I have always wanted to get a real Christmas tree but just keep putting it off. I love my fake Christmas tree though, it looks very authentic and no dropped pine needles or having to lug it outside at a later date for removal.

I have a fake one. I bought it almost... 7 years ago for $20. I prefer a fake one, even though real smells beautiful. Its less hassle for me. Watering... and with my dogs.. they had a habbit of drinking the tree water... by the time christmas was over, It was so dry needles fell off everywhere..I was finding them all they way into JULY!

Fake...dont want the needles stuck in the wood floors. But I must say a real one is far better. The smell, the look, everything about it is much better and puts you more in the Christmas spirit. But after working all day the last thing you want to do is come home and clean up needles...ouch!

We've always had a fake tree. It looks like a real tree, but it's not flammable like a real one. My grandpa was a fireman, and he used to say he spent far too many Christmases recovering bodies after Christmas tree fires.

A fake one cause I do want the world to exist for a long time, and be less selfish on my having a real, why destroy a natural tree for one or two days :(, even if you heard this before : Trees are the lungs of the earth (world) and unfortunately we only have one and once it's gone is gone :(.

Fake. I like to save the real trees to admire in nature for all of us to enjoy year round.
