Beware. Your friend is not jealous, she is envious. There is a difference. She wants what you have and if she can't have it, she will do what she can to make sure you don't have it. Talk to your superior and ask their advice on what you should do to handle this situation. You have to put a stop to it now, because your "friend" is only going to get worse. When she says things that hurt your feelings, smile, say thank you, and walk away. Make sure you are nice to her, but do not discuss your personal or professional life with her or anyone else in the office. She will use what you say against you or it will only further her contempt for you. Make sure you keep smiling, talking with others in the office and be sincerely friendly.

I was fired four months ago because the same thing happened to me. The envious person was spreading rumors and lies about me at work and one by one I watched as fewer and fewer people talked to me. I was alienated and treated awful. Next thing I knew I was fired.

I hope you can get through this and stay on top.

Take her out for a coffe or a bar, and take a trip down memory lane and revive wht relationship you guys shared before the current state of affairs. Make sure it is NOT a confrontation, but an open conversation with mutual respect for each other. this will not be easy as it is a touch subject. But i have personally been through this and have tried this and it works. More often than not if you do this properly you will become better friends than before. Best of luck hope this helps

Ouch thats a really bad environment to work in....Well I guess the best thing u can do is ignore as much as possible. Do a lot of self management cause u really dont want it 2 interfere with ur work & ur productivity.
Unless u wonna talk 2 her about it but u have 2 b nice.... without boosting about ur new position.
Otherwise the situation may get worst.
Explain ur problem 2 her and how its affecting u & her on frienship wise as well as career wise!!!
Good Luck!! Hope everything works out well!!!!

The obvious is that this so called friend of yours is jelous. You have a few choices here. Is this person really a true friend of yours, and can you talk to her and explain your situation and feelings? Or, Is it really worth it? Jobs are hard to come by now a days so you must be strong and remember the old saying,,,stix and stones!

U need to just sit her down one day after work. And just ask her, "what the problem is?" She might be going through something that u don't know about or either she's just a hater. U know, those type of people do exist....

To be honest, it doesn't sound like she's a true friend.

What I'd suggest is (outside of work) you sit her down and ask her about it. Do this in private, otherwise she may feel embarrassed. Be straight forward and to the point, and look her in the eyes while talking to her. It'll force her to be honest, and it'll get you the answer you're looking for

IF HER JEALOUSY IS THAT BAD, SHE IS NOT A VERY GOOD FRIEND. IF U REALLY VALUE HER FRIENDSHIP AFTER ALL THAT CRAP, U HAVE GOT 2 TALK 22 HER. TELL HER HOW CHILDISH SHE IS BEING. IF SHE STILL CAN'T GET A GRIP, DROP HER LIKE A BAD HABIT

I don't think this sounds like a very good friend. Watch your back.

I'm trying and failing to find a question in that.

Kick her to the curb, though.

Confrontation. Don't let this linger, it can only get worse. get in her face and have it out now and maybe the friendship can be salvaged.
