What do you think about the Plan B (morning after) pill being available without prescription to those 18 and older? Would you use it? If a 16 year old girl asked you to buy her them, would you? What is your general opinion?

Ok, for the one who thinks it's killing someone, the Plan B pill does not abort a pregnancy, it stops one from happening. And I don't think that it's telling people to go out and have sex. As it is now, 90% of 16 year olds have already had sex. I think this pill is important because at 16, you're old enough to have sex, but not mature enough to have a baby.

I think that my morality is not the governments, or anyone elses, business.

It should be available, but the right wing will never allow it.

I sure wish these people that believe that my choices should be limited would be willing to pay all the expenses for the children that are born from the lack of choice.

Since it is allowed by law now, over the counter (though you still have to ask the pharmacy for it, it can be obtained without a prescription) to those over 18, I think it is a great idea. If I needed to, YES, I would use it, as I have in the past, because I never want to chance my life at my age (19) with the strain of a baby. Since I have done this in the past, yes, I would buy them for someone younger, but the situation would have to absolutely be that they have no possible way to get it on their own, they can't go to a doctor, and that they listen to all of my instructions and warnings before taking it. I know a lot about pharmacueticals and especially this drug (having taken it before and studied it) and I coach and preach to any person I would chance helping this way.

Well it is easy to get it now even though you need a doctor to prescribe it. Usually they give you back ups too just in case while your starting a new birth control. Here you don't even need to see a doctor just call him and they will send it out to the nearest pharmacy or they will have it up front. There is a lot of hype about it not being readily available and I don't know what people are talking about. As for being 16 there are clinics all over that are fully confidential and are for birth control and all that. I was on birth control long before my mother knew about it. People don't look hard enough.

I would use it, but I wouldn't buy it for a 16 year old for the same reason I wouldn't buy alcohol for a 16 year old, because it would be illegal. But getting into whether or not minors should be allowed to do such things is something I haven't put much thought into so I can't share an opinion about it.

Life isn't a choice it's a gift from God and why someone has the right other than him to decide the faith of an unborn new being I don't know but I can tell you that children are solely a blessing and no I would never deny or throw away a gift as great as another life!

It is telling people to go out have unprotected sex do whatever you want and forget any responsibility that you should have had before the actual act. There is way too many easy outs for peoples actions today. I dont like the idea of having such an easy access "oops"pill.

i think its wonderful. im a pro-chioce republican, and i support it. i think by doing this NOW..you dont have to worry about partial birh abortion, and stuff. i think that if you are 18,you should be able to get all of it anyway. and also,if a 16 yr old asked me?? i would, i would hate the feelin of having to ask my parents to get it,and know im preggers. plus, its HER body

Purchasing it for a minor would be subject to a lawsuit or even criminal charges if a serious effect were caused to the minor. I wouldn't do it.
