I think women. I think women in general have higher expectations in a relationship. Men will put up with the ups & downs & not read much into them. Women worry too much....I know!

The difficulty here is that many people marry without knowing the person they are marrying or what marriage is all about.
Many men who are unaware of what marriage is about stray. Are they unhappy with their marriage? Maybe. They might just not understand the commitment.
Women who are unhappy in their marriages tend to stay in the marriages much longer than men. But then men stray and sometimes stay in their marriages too.
I tend to believe that the unhappiness is equal. The divorce rate in America is 60% for first marriages and 50% for second marriages.

I guess that women get more disappointed, for the simple fact that they do expect more.
Males just expect simple things such as sex, companionship, etc. they dont even care if the woman puts on a lot of weight, for example.
Females, on the other hand, have more complex expectations, so they end up at a bigger risk of being disappointed.

relationships in marriage differ depending on how that relationship started. Usaually if a woman gets married as a virgin and is sexually satisfied she is likely to get more dissappointed. However men also get diappointed depending on the strong feeling they have for their spouses. It is difficult to know the degree of love between partners but whoever treasures the other most is disappointed the most.
