It may have been bloodier in terms of military conflict, but it wasn't nearly as barbaric or bloody in terms of civil governance AFTER the revolution. The "reign of terror" in France was one of the most brutal periods in the history of western culture. The Jacobins and Robespierre beheaded hundreds of people in public executions that almost had a circus atmosphere. It was bloody beyond belief.

I would dispute your source as to the 1% figure as well. American combat deaths during the Revolution were 4435 out of a population of 3.5 million or .126 percent of the population. This is nearly 10 times less than your figure.

Where did you get the numbers to determine 1% of the population was killed in the American Revolution? I would dispute those numbers as being inaccurate.

Sadly there are more Current cases.
More than ten percent of the population of Russia was killed since the revolution 'till the end of WWII, Nine percent of Mexicans died during their revolution.
I think that data has nothing to do with being cursed.

Where did you get those figures??? There were approximately 4400 battle deaths in the Revolutionary. According to you, that would mean a population of about 440,000. The population according my references was over 3,000,000.
Why don't you contemplate the 60,000,000 dead as a result of WWII?

From kindergarten to the time I left college I likely replaced into in college 18 years. for the period of that element I likely purely took 3 instructions that ought to legitimately be observed as historic previous. an excellent type of fluff and propaganda, yet no longer a lot interior the way of easily historic previous. we do not study historic previous in this united states. and that is totally an outstanding element, no longer something advances a civilization like forgetting previous injuries. the priority is we do not undergo in concepts any classes. yet then the factors of the international that are sopping wet in historic previous do not look to study both.

You're right about one thing. There were as many men killed in one battle of the civil war, as there were during 10 years of the VietNam war. And they were using muzzle loaders. No, I don't think that means we're cursed.

No, no we aren't.
Full-blown Civil Wars are always the bloodiest; we simply had the benefit of advanced technology.
