I hope that you mean "reports" as opposed to "roberts", as that is my name. As my Mother was a film distrubutor in that period, two years before I was born, I know that cannisters of celluloid film did flare up at that cinema.
Intentional ? It was called an insurance claim, as the cinema was losing money.
I would not testify to that, as it is heresay, but the building was basically OK, and re-furbished.
