has anybody used the first response pregnancy test?....is it correct that I can find out 4-5 days before missed period to find out if I am pregnant. What other home pregnancy test can I use?? I am due for my periods Dec 11. I am eager to find out :-)

They all test for the hormone HCG which peaks about a week after implantation (which is a week after ovulation (the first day of your missed period)). So, the hormones ARE there now, any pregnancy test should detect it, it is just more accurate to test it when the levels are high which would be on the 11th in your case.

I thought I was pregnant, wasn't sure when my last period was, took the Wal-Mart brand pregnancy test, got a definite positive, found out with ultrasound that my period was still almost a whole week away...so it all depends on your hormone levels...

I always use First Response. It is one of the most sensitive brands and will test before the others. Count 10 days after you ovulated or 5 days before your period is due. Here's a link to other pregnancy tests and how sensitive they are. You can test today, but it could be a false negative. It is positive, You're pregnant. Good luck!!!!!!

You can get a blood test at this point.

But, an HPT probably won't show it. I used an EPT two days after I was late. And, the test was hard to read. The line was really faint. But, the generic test I got with my fertility monitor was perfect. I've heard bad things about first response.

There is a lady obsessed with pregnancy tests who created a great website for us :))

Wish I would have went here first. She will tell you the best test to get depending on how early your testing.

I found out with an equate E.P. Test. But then I turned around and bought a pack of 4 first response tests and they all came out positive at 7 weeks. I suggest the First Response if you want to know the earliest. I trust them more.

i havnt tried first response but i usually use clear blue and it worked very well for me and it was easy cause it said pregnant or not pregnant. i think every pregnancy works if your pregnancy hormone levels are high enough. ive even take a dollar tree test and sure enough it worked. of course i didnt go by that i had to get a second oppion

Try it out...they all work pretty good. I have never had a false one and each time I bought one it was a different one.
