My son is 5 months old and wakes up twice a night, sometimes more if he's wet since all the diapers leak at night. Everyone tells you their babies sleep thru the night? Ask them what sleep thru the night means to them and usually it is 5 hours. My son would go thru phases where he'd wake up once a night for awhile and then 2 or 3 times a night. Just do what you're doing. 3 ounces is a lot (so she must be hungry) because my son usually only eats 4 onces during the day.

DONT FEED SOLIDS AT THIS STAGE - the reply above goes against the professional advise of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the World Health Organisation and many other _professional_ organisations who advise *only* milk until 6 months of age and then solids introduced after that as a compliment to milk.
It sounds like she's going though a growth spurt.
Just remember that babies are different to adults - they have tiny tummies, can't roll over and look at the clock to know if they should go back to sleep, and often can't settle themselves back to sleep. And yet for some reason we expect babies to sleep through the night like adults.
I find it's easier if i focus on my baby's needs being met than the goal of sleeping through the night. Soon your baby will be a teenager and you won't be able to get her out of bed!!

I had the same happen with me. It's the baby's sleep schuedule. She should have one by now. Wake up at this time take a nap at this time and so on. My daughter woke up when she didn't even have to. She is 8 months and finally has slept a whole week this week. Your baby expects you to come in and feed her, and she is on that schuedule. If you only have one child, let her fall asleep by herself at night without a bottle unless she sounds like she is going to die. You are going to teach her by doing this, that "mommy won't come anymore at night, so what's the point of screaming, I'll go back to sleep". Plus you might need to make sure the size of her diaper is right, too small the baby will get wet fast and it'll be uncomfortable. I suggest putting destin to lubricate down there. Baby powder isn't for girls. Plus When my daughter was 3 months she started to drink more like 3 1/2 to 4 ounces, she might want more. When your baby is 4 months start feeding baby food stage one to fill her belly up more.

The more active your baby is during the day, the less she will eat, then she will make up for it at night.
You didn't think babies actually slept through the night did you?
-----------------
In answer to the question "What did we do before formula?"
We breastfed our babies as God/Mother nature intended. We put them in baby carriers and took them with us. We left them in baskets at the edge of the field. We stayed home with them. We hired wet nurses, if we were rich. We put our kids first, we didn't consider it a sacrifice, it was just the way things were.

Do you know how lucky you are????????????? Most babies get up every 2-4 hours EVERY night from the time you bring them home from the hospital. You might want to give her a little more formula before bed - maybe that will help. Good luck!

My daughter was always a good eater and sleeper but we used to wake her up for a feeding before we went to bed. This is as late as possible. Then she slept through the night. Put more in the bottle so she can drink 4 oz if she needs it.

She's probably going through her 3 month growth spurt, which means sleep patterns will be disrupted and she'll want to eat more than usual.
It's TOTALLY normal for their sleep patterns to change off and on through the first year and TOTALLY normal for them to continue to wake at night for the entire first year.

twice! only twice a night good for you. My daughter woke up at least 3 times a night for 3 years. She could be having growth spur which will cause her to eat more for a while. Don't stress about it, get your sleep when you can. She'll grow out of it............eventually
