I know this might sound naive but I am getting a christmas gift for someone, the Nintendo DS Lite, and I am wondering if it plays ALL Nintendo DS games?

Yes the ds lite does play all ds games and gameboy advanced games. The only difference is that its smaller. If you wern't sure you should have known that the system is still called the ds so obviously it will still play the bigger ds games.
