How do I ensure that my DVD-ROM drive is enabled?

Also my DVD audio doen't work. What is happening? Operating Dell XP.

Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager
Then look up your DVD-ROM for troubleshooting and such

You can go into bios when the computer starts up and see if your drive is active. Also you can also go to device manager to see if there are any driver errors.

right click on my computer...then management then click on storage.... and see i it enabled
