Rumours are going round that Beckham is to be knighted, does anyone really think he deserves it? I mean apart from promoting Brand Beckham and making lots of money for themselves what has he actually done apart from score a couple of goals, get sacked by Alex Ferguson for being too preoccupied with his celebrity comitments, I mean we didn't exactly win the World Cup did we? Oh no and she'll be Lady Beckham, that will go to her head too.

He might have scored a few goals, possible saved a few games. I would say that he is a reasonably proficient football player.... HOWEVER the fact that hes even been considered for knight ship sickens me. I LOVE MY FOOTBALL!!! But hes just some common **** who is ll about branding and labels!!

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber was knighted because he contributed to Britain's cultural heritage (Cats, Phantom of the Opera), now i ask you what could Mr and Mrs David Beckham POSSIBLY contributed besides- sleeping with his salon beautician, naming their son Romeo and their terrible accent....

Easy question. Hell no. He's done nothing except kick a ball around a field. It would be an insult to people who deserve one like ww2 hero's and what about the 1966 world cup winners? It would be embarrassing for the human race.

No, he is actually Wenger's son. You got that bit about Beckham being the Duke of Manchester. SAF is the Pope of Scotland, France and Somalia.

Only if my Dad gets knighted for his services to being a miserable (yet amusing) old git. If not then Captain Squeaky and his clown can Frick right off back up their own posterior ends. But seeing as who is nominating candidates these days I can unfortunately see it happening

Nooooo! Only for the reason that the his skeletal publicity-hungry wife who always looked like she should be held down and force-fed a tub of lard, and who NEVER SMILES, will be Lady Victoria. Oh cripes, could you bear it, as if she isn't stuck up enough already (and I am not just talking about her nose)
So, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Definitely NO, other than play football well occasionally but not when it counts for the country, and selling themselves to the highest bidder. Defiantly No. Give it to someone that does their work for a pittance but makes a real difference!

Scoring a few goals and walking around like a gay man does not deserve to be knighted!

Sorry to say NO.

If he had won any silverware for his country while he was captain I would be the first to agree, but no tropheys and a wearing girls undies does not make a knight.
