Pet rocks thrive on Nutella. Just put a little on a small piece of bread, then place it on the floor. Go to work, and when you come home, it will be gone. Don't worry about your rock starving though, they can keep food stored for weeks, just like camels. He will be fine.
p.s. If Nutella doesn't work, you can try Marshmallow Fluff, but some rocks are allergic to that, so be careful.

Maybe this is part of the anger issues that were brought up in your previous post. Maybe Rocky isn't eating cause he's mad at you and trying to punish you.
PS I always found that my pet rocks enjoyed food that I didn't like such as broccoli, brussell sprouts, liver etc... Worth a try.

When I purchased my rock from the quarry I was told 2 things of great importance....NEVER NEVER feed him after midnight and NEVER EVER get him wet. I feed my pet rock rock candy and he seems to really like it. As for the people who are getting so upset over your question...they shouldn't make mountains out of molehills!

I think you should take your pet rock back to where you got it from and do more research on what pet is the best for you.Owning a pet should not be taken lightly. Do what is best for both of you and be more prepared in the future.

HAHAHA You're a blast!!!
Some people get fired up so easily!
Apparently pet rocks eat miniscule dust particles floating in the air. They catch it like frogs, with their tongues. But only when they are alone....
....works kinda the same way that Santa knows if you are good or bad!

Tough one. I consulted my own rock-care manual, and it says:
"When your rock is showing signs of being hungry (grey tone, not moving, cold to the touch), place him near the window, where the rays of the sun will feed him. You should notice his tone lighten a shade or two, and he may become quite warm. If you poke him, he may also move."
Hope this helps.

Feed it wet cement. Mix in some fine sand to aid digestion. That is the only way its going to grow.

My pet rock loves gummy worms. I feed them to him twice a day. When he has been a very good boy I like to give him jellybeans as a treat. He also likes to drink Yoo-hoo if he has a tummy ache!
