I haven't received any really good ones except I did get a calendar from someone that was for the previous year and no good.

I have not received a gift that I didn't love, hence no opportunity to regift directly. Indirectly, I own a small business as a Professional Organizer/Life Coach. Recently I donated a gift basket for a Tricky Tray. I know the woman who won; she really wanted the gift certificate for herself, but gave it to her Mother-in-Law, who has cancer. She wants me to teach pain management to her. I think this is a beautiful "regifting" story; she loves her M-i-L so much that she "regifted" something she really wanted to give her a treat. True holiday spirit...a gift of love.
Happy Holidays to all. :-)

I've been reading about some terrific ideas on what and how to regift - some of my favorites:

FRUITCAKE
bath products
Holiday sweater
self help books
latest diet book
fleece glove & scarf

tablecloths, I could not stop laughing at that previous year calendar someone gave you. Shows how absolutely clueless people can be!

That being said, I have regited pottery, glassware, jewlelry, coffee cups, and have literally found stuff to regift, like unblemished woodenhanging letter holders, etc.

No, I haven't. I have thought about it though.

I received a sweater last year. It is the incorrect size, so I thought about giving it to my friend for Christmas. It came from Macy's and still has the tags on it. I would think this would be a nice gift to receive, even thought it is re-gifted.

I think fruitcake is probably the #1 re-gift. My mother used to make awesome fruitcakes though. She would pack them with candied fruit, then wrap them in a cotton cloth and wet them with rum every day for a couple of weeks. Excellent!

I got a 're-gifted' ChiaPet. It's was actually kind of fun though! The only time I've ever 're-gifted' was a 'gag' gift from the previous years Christmas gift exchange.

Yes two years ago someone gave me a lot a candles and I gave them to a neighbor. It's not that I do not like candles or they were not nice I have 3 small children. Candles and small children, in my opinion do not mix. I do not think that I have been re-gifted, but I might have.

Sure -- as long as it was unused, I generally don't see a problem with it... particularly because it makes for a really fun Christmas game.
