The better concept would be a parallel universe (not just dimensions). It has been used in many science-fiction stories.

The idea is: if there is an infinite number of other universes, then some of them should have conditions very close to our own (maybe exactly the same).

Therefore, there may be a chance that stars and planets formed in the (almost) exact same way and life evolved, on one planet in (almost) the exact same way that it did in this universe.

Then, there may be a chance that atoms, molecules, proteins, DNA strands, etc., combined on that other planet in (almost) the same way that led to make you on this planet in this universe.

Then, perhaps, that person's life would be similar to yours. (You would neet an exact match of matter and energy throughout the life of the other universe to even get close to hoping that the life would be identical).

IF, in that other universe, she says no when in this universe she says yes, then there must be some (minor) difference between the you here and the you there.

Try to avoid that difference.

Nothing indicates that parallel universes exist (and that, if they do exist, then there are an infinite number of them).

No, that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Quit making up other dimensions for you and your friends to hang out in.

There is no reason to believe reality works that way.
