Do the multiplication inside the parenthesis first

10 - 2(4 x 5 - 16)

10 - 2(20 - 16)

10 - 2(4) =

10 - 8

2

The answer is 2

you will possibly might desire to multiply the 5 and the two first, then do each thing so as. 24 - 13 = 11 + sixteen = 27 - 20 = 7 + 10 (which replaced into the 5 x 2) = 17 and that's your answer. in basic terms remember it as: Please Excuse My costly Aunt Sally Please = Parenthesis Excuse = Exponents My costly = Multiplication and branch Aunt Sally = Addition and Subtraction
