I have a credit card and need to put money into a bank current account. Is there a way to do this without withdrawing cash (which I will have to pay interest on the transaction).

Unfortunately you can't do this without incurring the charge- stops people from taking zero percent cards out and earning interest in bank accounts - is a shame.

It depends. If you transfer 30k into a UK bank account. You will get a phone call, probably not asking about where the money comes from, but more like do you have plans with it. In which case you just say you do. And then that's pretty much the end of the phone call.

no - there is no direct transfer. All you can do is withdraw the cash or write a credit card cheque.

cheers
