My mother told me about the attack on Pearl Harbor when I was a young child about 6 or 7 years old. We were sitting at our kitchen table. She was born on December 31st, and she identified with that historical event.
Not on the subject, but my daughter identifies with the sinking of the Titanic, because she was born on April 14th. She has studied and researched volumes of writings about it.

I was home nursing the broken arm I got when I fell from our neighbors apple tree. I never did get to enjoy the apples I stole, and I never climbed that tree again.
