Yes, the Nintendo DS has a slot so that you can play Nintendo Gameboy Advance games.

You can play Game Boy Advance games on both the DS and the DS Lite. There are two slots built into the unit; one for DS games, one for GBA games. Since the DS has two screens, you can choose which screen to play GBA games on. I prefer the upper screen; it's a little shaper in my opinion.

I recently purchased the Nintendo DS Lite for my son and daughter and they fellow selling it to me indicated that Game boy advanced games do indeed work on this system, but not the opposite way.

Yes i have a DS (not DS Lite) it works perfect on GBA Games
You cannot play older games from original game boy though Pocket Game Boy..

yes, the DS has two places for the different type of game cartridges.. one for the ds games located in the back of ds and one in front for the "larger Game Boy " cartridges.

In Animal Crossing there is a connector you can buy that you can play the island on the Game Boy.
