I had been a heavey smoker for about 10 years, but I quit when I got prangnent. I recently had a craving for a cigg so I got one, but for some reason when I took my first puff I started choking on it. Why is this? I had quit for about a year, and I had never choked before, not even when I first started. So why did I this time?

To make it clear: I AM NOT PREAGNANT RIGHT NOW!!! I was before, and that is why I quit, but I have since delivered my son, and am no longer pragnant!

Over time when you smoke, the "cilia" in your throat and lungs are destroyed. This makes it possible for you to smoke without choking from it. Since you quit, those cilia have started to grow back. So, when you smoked that cigarette, you started coughing. I do hope you don't continue with the smoking...not just for your sake but your child's.

A pregnant womans body rejects poisons like nicotine and alcohol. It's a way for nature to save the baby.

Your body is rejecting the poison. What would possess you to start smoking again while you are pregnant?

Because God wants you to realize that SMOKING is bad for you and bad for your child (in the womb or breathing your second hand smoke) PUT THEM DOWN! Do not start this nasty habit again.
