Kurt was released from contract and would be allowed to return on the condition that he got off pain killers, rehabbed about 9000 various injuries so he'd stop being a psyichal wreck because he reached the stage where he needed to be supported by medics up to the point of going live on air, and was in serious danger of injuring himself more and an opponent, notice he doesn't do his spin when he enters the ring anymore this is because his neck is so messed up he risks paralysis by doing that alone the man should not be in a ring just last week in TNA he injured someone

Kurt Angle wanted to take time off from wrestling to recover from previous injuries. He was relying on pain killers just to get him through his matches. He had a meeting with McMahon several months ago about his possible "hiatus" from the ring. However, McMahon made Kurt Angle sign a contract extension in the meeting. Kurt broke down in the meeting later saying: "The reason I broke down after signing the contract, is because I realized that by signing an extension, I just sold my soul to the devil." After Vince saw Angle in tears, he told Kurt to take the time off that he needed and to treat the contract void. Angle left Connecticut and spoke with TNA the very next day. They told him that he can wrestle whatever amount of matches per year that he desires. Also, he can take his time to heal. Sounds like an employer that actually cares.

Kurt joined TNA because he's a wrestler. WWE isn't wrestling it's two guys that punch each other don't do any wrestling moves and get well paid for it. WWE sucks

In the WWE he was always being used and his body couldn't take the wrestling week after week,he also went to TNA because the WWE hasn't got a good attitude to their wrestlers.

Is a bit stange but then Jeff Hardy did that a few years ago and is now back in WWE and doing well.

Not sure what's gone on with Kurt though as he is one of the best wrestlers at the moment.

wwe and angle came to agreement that he needed to take some time off, yes he was addicted to a pain killers, but the agreement was a mutual one, at least until wwe found out that he had signed with tna, wwe was counting on him getting better and coming back.

Kurt's contract was terminated by mutual consent. His need for painkillers, his injured neck, not getting time off for surgery meant he couldn't perform to his best. He was getting sick of life on the road & i heard sick of not getting title shots.Vince reckoned enough's enough - so that was it.
