They're far more appealing than Italian men.

Well, the ones from Italy seem to be smokin hot. The ones from the Unites States...not so much. A lot of American Italians are LOUD, obnxious, and low-class. They love to spout out how Italian they are, but most have no clue what Italy is like or what being Italian actually means. They just act stereotypically like they're part of the Mafia and think that makes them Italian. Ughhh.

I don't know you as a person Francina, and I don't mean this to be offensive in the least, but here goes....

I personally have issues with the status women have over there--according to the UN, only Greece is worse when it comes to womens' rights in Europe. They also didn't get the vote until the 1940s. So my guess is although they may be beautiful, as a group they're most assuredly not assertive enough. That bothers me as a woman. However, things seem to be changing with the "quota rosa" being put in place. That's a good thing!

Being Italian, eating spaghetti daily with all my dinner meals and having been raised in that culture, I find they are compasionate, caring and know how to entertain and treat others with the utmost respect. Dinner on sunday is a smorgasborg of fine eating. Perhaps the most significant trait is "love of family". This is so important in the Italian culture. On top of that; they are used to being loved; the "true" italian way; by romantic Italians; and reciprocate two fold. Not only are these great characteristics; the accent is a treat in itself.

Le belle ragazze italiane! Mi piaciono molto.
They are lovely, warm, charming, sensible girls who do not tolerate nonsense from their men these days. They have great style, know how to dress and are practically minded. They can get very angry and, when it is the case, they do not mince their words. They also are able of great compassion and are generous minded. When they marry they make excellent wives and mothers and they know how to cook. I have Italian friends and I love them dearly. We enjoy great giggles and exchange secrets in the knowledge it will not get further. If they love you they will move the earth for you.

I'm an Italian girl. I have that look, and people respond positively. It wasn't that way for my Italian immigrant Great Grandmother, it was hell. I'm glad I live today. I'm also glad I live today because of blow dryers. Yet I digress.
