A gift that was purchased for me. It takes more thought to pick a gift out you think someone would like. Gift cards are nice, don't get me wrong, but they are the "easy way out." Purchased gifts are more personal.

I always say gift card. At least then I can get something I want or will use. I am so sick of gifts that people get that will never be used and just take up space. For example I started to collect lady bug things. Then that was all people would get me. I am over run and have duplicates of so many things. Now I have so many that I don't really like them any more. With gift cards I can get what I really need so much better.

a gift that was purchased. gift cards have very little thought to them. I would rather know the person was thinking about me and what I might like, not just give a card to buy what I want. I can do that any day of the year. I hate giving them too...people know how much you spent on them and it looks tacky.

A gift because I always use gift cards to purchase things for other people or end up buying regular household stuff with them.

I have to argree with most. i would honestly prefer a gift, whether or not I like or or dont. At least then it took some time to buy it, and you went out looking for it. Personally I don't really care what I get anymore, it is just fun seeing what people might think you like. Plus it is about the giving more. So even if it is hard, maybe get a funny gift, or something that they would only understand (like from an inside secret); it'll bring laughs to them when they open it.

A gift that was purchased. The gift doesn't mean anything to me. It is the thought that is important.

A gift that was purchased for me,no matter what it is. I would like to think the person thought enough about me,to get me something.

if it was my boyfriend I want a gift because if he knows me well he will more likely know what i think is romantic. other ppl: i choose a gift card for at Walmart or somewhere like that- unless they get the exact thing I really want. some people give things a person totally hates or does not need.

If it was my husband and he got me a gift card, I would ring his neck. But if its any other family member, I wouldn't mind.

If you are really close to that person, its not so good to get a gift card, but if your so-so for example for an uncle/aunt, in-laws, then its okay to get a gift card.
