"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Unless there is nothing you can be tempted by.... If you have absolute power then you have no need to get more power so what would motivate you? Christianity would say love (which requires free will in order for it to be of any value). Unconditional love being the ultimate good. What deserves the label of warped?
Would it be a motivation that we disapprove of ie capitalism chasing the dollar or fascism the pure race?

I think God is beyond corruption or evil or good.. he is beyond any subjective that we use to describe human beings. Human beings live in a duality where there is an opposite for everything and our minds are not able to grasp the meaning of good without the notion of evil. the famous ying yan represents the rule of the earth for humans but God is beyond duality. God is everything and anything, every possibility is God and every possibility exists in God. Therefore God cannot develope warped ideologies, because God 'is' everything including all ideologies, I think.

I have always suspected there are several little gods, not unlike us humans but with more superpowers. You remember the book "The God of Small Things"? How about a God of Petty Vendettas? You have to remain on the good side of this god, giving him praise and gifts because if you don't, if you get too cocky or happy - here he will be, peeking down, stroking his beard and smiling maliciously: Oh, I had forgotten all about Jim here. He sure looks happy. Well, let's see what we can do about it!...

Corruption is only part of the duality of earthly life. God is eternal and not temporal. God is unchanging and corruption implies change which is impossible with God.

ooo good question, I would never have thought of that. I dont believe in God, but I would have to say that the Christian god seems to be uncorruptable.

God is supposed to be all powerful and in our limited experience, even a presumption of power can corrupt. But being all powerful, corruption too does not affect Him ...... it just reflects on us!
