There aren't many selective pressures driving a change of form. If society is around in 10,000 years, you would be able to see some changes in population averages.

For a while, I was of the opinion that evolution in humans had been slowed or stifled. This is because there is no natural selection taking place (at least in developed countries) - most people have a chance to pro-create and perpetuate their genes, therefore there is no "filtering" out of the weak and unfit.

However, after seeing a article in the news recently, I believe that the socio-economic divisions that are evident in society (to put it bluntly, the haves and have-nots) will, over time, lead to genetically diverse groups of people. In other words, separate species.

Elements in life are not constant , in the near future major changes will be taking place as it is an ongoing process ; Demographic explosion ( 11 to 15 Billion in 2050 ),and depletion of Earth's resources for energy , pollution due to toxic emissions from factories , usage of pesticides for growing produce , pollution of water , decrease of surface areas of forests , wars , natural disasters , diseases.
These factors must play a role in shaping the world under a new order of evolution , with mutations to the existing species .

Evolution is change over a long, long time. Think millions of years.
And, yes evolution is still "affecting" humans. One example seems to be the slow disappearance of wisdom teeth.

natural selection never stops... the environment just changes.

people who would have died from, say, asthma, a thousand years ago are living to reproduce now due to technology, passing on possible gene combinations for asthma.

Selective pressures change, but genetic mutation, natural selection, and sexual selection will be around forever.

You misunderstand the concept. Evolution is always taking place. Sometimes slowly and imperceptibly, sometimes obviously.
