Yes fact of the matter is no ones ovulation is at a specific time, you could be ovulationg during your period right after not all women are ovulating exactly 2 weeks from their cycle, mine is confirmed at 1 week after my cycle because all my kids measure 1 week older on a sono, but I am sure it will change again.

You need to ovulate to get pregnant. The woman ovulates, has intercourse where the sperm enters into her body. The sperm meets the egg and if conditions are favorable, the egg is fertilized. The egg then continues to travel to the uterus where it will implant itself and the cells keep dividing. This is how you get pregnant.
