Just press and HOLD down the LEFT ALT key, then press 2 4 8 on the numeric keypad. Release ALT and up pops a °

:)

ps: if the type is really tony it looks like a square on here, but if you try it in chat or in a word processor, you will find it is the degree sign.

ALT-171 is ½ and 172 is ¼ as well - just a couple more to play with :)

In microsoft word?
Go to INSERT then SYMBOLS. You should find it there.
