I read somewhere along time ago that Lennon, normally known as a man of peace and love, would slip up now and again and sometimes spew out anti-Semetic remarks. Is this true, or do I have him mixed up with someone else?

you have him mixed up cause he wasnt open minded at all. he hated war and loved drugs and rock and roll. and in the 60's drugs and rock and roll were against the law you can say. and him breaking the law and then bashing the war doesnt even come close to being open minded.

so you got him mixed up with someone else

Never heard of that, but I know that he had a temper from now and again.
The spats between him and Paul were widely reported, but he was into Indian guru's and married an Asian women . I really don't see how he could have used anti-Semitic remarks against any race or society.

I think he learned his lesson with his "The Beatles are bigger than Jesus" remark. Lennon supposedly had a temper and was outspoken but never against Jews that I remember.
