Don't get me wrong...I am not possessed or anything. I am fairly coherent. It's just that I watched a documentary on demonic possession and I am really shocked (traumatised more like it) from all the facts and pictures from the documentary. I am really scared and every night I keep thinking of the demonic images that keep cropping up into my mind! I am a Christian so the comfort of God's love is soothing but I think this is more of a psychological problem than a spritual one. How do I get over this?

I have these problems for more than 1 year so saying that I would get over it is pretty ineffective. And yes, I hear voices... but I know it is just my imagination.

Haven't you heard that kids song "be careful little eyes what you see..."? When you think this, Think "Jesus." If it is satan plaguing you with this, it should go away. He cannot stand the word. Try it out.

Go see a sleep specialist. If you have been experiencing these hallucinations for a whole year you might have narcolepsy.Seeing and hearing things as your going to sleep is a symptom.I know because I have narcolepsy and have had those kind of experiences.I have to be very careful about what I see or read before going to bed.I sometimes fight in my sleep and have almost punched my wife several times. My monsters are scenes from the movie "Nightmare on Elm Street".I have awoke a few times and found myself sharing my pillow with a severed head!! You talk about scared, then try to scream and find yourself paralyzed.Does any of this sound familiar? Good Luck and God Bless.

The only thing you can do is avoid watching something like this next time.
If you have trouble falling asleep in the dark, try falling asleep with your television on. Most tv controls have a setting where you can put the tv on for a certain amount of time and then it goes off automatically.
Eventually, it will get better.

If there was anything around you, it would have shown itself by now. It hasn't, so chill. Just keep telling yourself its an image in your head that doesn't actually exist. Or next time you see it, try to change the image so that it looks funny, it will make you laugh and not scared of it anymore!

Talk to a counselor for help. They can help guide you regarding the proper way to get that kind of stuff out of your head. Be careful watching things like that or horror movies. If you're being honest with everyone, I think you may be like I am. That stuff settles in our sub concious and it's hard to get it out. For example, years ago I saw "Who Slew Auntie Rue". Innocent enough story; till this day, everytime I think of that movie, I see in my mind how ugly and weird looking Bettie Davis' face was. YI!!!

OMG That is just like me. I have had this problem ever since I was a child. You just have to sit tight, close your eyes tight at night, don't go toilet until you can't hold it anymore and sooner or later it gets better.

It's quite normal. It's like how people get scared of the dark and stuff after watching a horror movie. I feel like you are my brother
