Well for brekky we have bucks fizz and its great but after that i tend not to drink until dinner which is usually about 4pm i'll have a glass or 2 of wine then i wont drink again until that evening. i like to enjoy my christmas day and not ruin it by being too drunk. but thats just my opinion the rest of my family all start about 12ish when the family friends and neighbours all start dropping in with xmas wishes etc.

Even on a regular day i can only drink at night or at dinner time. I don't know how people drink from the morning to the night or 24/7. Plus i like to remember and cherish the holiday season if i drink to much it's like what's the point. Some people don't care but whatever happy holiday's to everyone or at least to those who will actually remember it.

I usually will have soft drinks up until dinner time and have about 2 Malibu and cokes during dinner time and two after. I have never been a morning drinker, it is nice to have a drink on Christmas it gets me in a festive mood!

I have a glass of wine with lunch on Christmas day and that's me finished, I'm not a drinker and like you it makes me sleepy then I feel terrible for the rest of the day, we have friends that start drinking first thing in the morning on Christmas day and are still at it at bed time on boxing day, don't know how they do it.

when i get up to unwrap my prezzies i have a glass of asti with my mum, starting the xmas day with a glass of asti has been a tradition with my mum for years and for the last 6 years ive joined in. so i start drinking about half 10ish.

believe it or not but i've never once gotten up early on xmas day not even when i was little.

Back when I used to drink I often started Christmas eve round tea. Then next day after a huge midday dinner--well with.
Pacing self, that was the trick.

Depends what time we manage to get up.. no kids in the house so its never that early.. Usually about 11am. champagne with a light brunch... yum.. My favourite part of the day.

Trick is to drink slowly and have water inbetween.. then again, its christmas so why be sensible!

usually at the time when I realise that the turkey isn't defrosted yet, the sprouts are overcooked and that nothing is going to arrive on the table on time! Being a gorgeous fluffpot, however, I just open a bottle of bubbly and proceed to get everybody p****d so they don't notice the disaster on their dinner plates!
Cheers!
