When I turned the wall switch on, the bulb blew, and now there is no power to the fan OR the light. I checked the breaker, so it's not that....HELP!

I've had a few customers call me for this. And 3 outta 4 times, it's the wall switch that went bad. Which is good news because wall switches are usually under $2 and easy to install, so it's a good idea to replace that first to see if this fixes the problem. If not then it's a problem inside of the fan or light kit. But this is rare. I'm betting the switch will solve your problem.

It's obvious that you got a fan with a light kit. When you installed your kit, you crossed the wires, it's not hard to do when you have two hot wires...one for power to the fan and one for power to the light. shut down the power by the breaker, read the directions and wire the unit the right way. turn power to fan first then the light. don't forget to replace the light bulb. most of the time, the black wires are hot (line to load) wires for the fan and the blue wires are hot (line to load) for the light.a white is Nutural and Green is ground. It sounds like the fan shorted out, if you take it down from the box where it is mounted to you could do a better check of the line coming into the fan. If you have power there then the fan is shorted out.

First replace the wall switch, if that dont fix it then there is probably a loose wire connection in the box above the fan.
