Usually WIC is separate from government assistance medical such as Medicaid. If your employer provides medical benifits and you are already approved for WIC you should not have any problems with the food assistance WIC gives. The only thing that I know of that will affect your WIC assistance is the amount of income you have increasing beyond the limit.

Wic doesn't pay medical but a lot of times some babies who are on wic are usually on medicaid. So I understand what you are saying even though other people are missing your point. No it will not effect your wic at all. You're baby won't be on medicaid though because she will have insurance. You will still get wic for food and such.

Good luck to you.

WIC only pays for nutritional supplements--milk, eggs, formula, and other food for the child and the mother. The insurance should not affect the eligibility for WIC, since it is based on your income and you are the only one working at this time.

No it shouldnt wic goes on a sliding scale based on your income, so how much you make determines if you are eligible or not.
Medicaide is a different story though, do you not qualify for it? I would check again in Texas there is another program that is similar to medicaide but you pay per month alot cheaper than most peoples insurance offered at work.

Since when does wic pay medical. Where do you live? It is my understanding that wic is only for nutrition. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to add your child to your insurance besides if you already have medical insurance why do you need Wic to pay for it anyway? it makes no sense.

Nope. They go on income. I have insurance through work and I still get wic for my kids.
