It's very possible that the baby could come out very light-skinned.

Well since you are black and the father of the baby is white the baby will be of mixed race regardless of your great-great-grandfather being white. The only thing that may change (and this is only a chance) is that baby could have a lighter skin tone, but then again it could not. I've known people to have light skin tone mixed race babies and some babies I've seen have very dark skin tone.
Anyway, racially (and genetically) that baby will be "mixed" not completely white.

there is no such thing as a "white recessive gene"
face it..your baby will not be white....even if your great grand daddy was white, the fact that you are not white means that you will pass on your color to your baby.....your grand dad being white obviously didnt do much because you yourself are not....so what makes you think all of a sudden all of the "white" in you will come out in your baby!?!?!?!

There could be a SLIM chance. You won't know until baby's born.
If you're dark and the father is white, the baby will probaby be lighter than you.
Who cares anyway? Are you pregnant or is this hypothetical?

Always a chance...but based on how light or dark you are,I would say the baby might be very light skined but not "white"

Your baby won't be all white, he will probably have some of your features and a darker complexion but will be somewhat white...
