Bleach works great but destroys clothes. I use Oxy clean as a pre soak. I skip putting it in the tray and put it right in there with the clothes. Then I have the washer delay for 10. Mine has presets, I'm sure yours does too. Then when it kicks back on I put the liquid in the detergent tray. So far I have been getting great results. For bras I just hand wash those with Woolite. You don't want those under wires to come loose.
If you want your bras to stay white you just have to hand wash them frequently. Black bras separate from white. Black trim won't fade to bad as long as you just use Woolite.

If you have a regular washing machine, insert your detergent and your bleach at the same time. You just have to use your judgment on the amount to put in the load based on the size of load but don't over do it by putting too much bleach in there. If the bra is primarily white then you can add it to the white load and the bleach shouldn't effect it (it might, but for the most part it should not).

Most automatic washing machines have a bleach cycle and a place in the powder draw for bleach. (Look for a triangle). Make sure you use washing bleach. The stuff you use to clean the sink won't do your clothes any good. Also check the wash label on your clothes and don't bleach anything with a crossed out triangle.
Bleach is not selective. If you bleach something that's black and white, it will come out grey and white.

In a front loading washer use a cup to a cup and a half of hydrogen peroxide, the same stuff you put on a cut. It will not harm your clothes and you can add it at anytime, even with the first soap, or wash. If you keep using it it will keep your white white, in the beginning you may need to use more so that you can get the yellow out. If your bra can be washed in hot water without the black running, then it would be safe with peroxide.

Only wash pure whites - no coloured trims together. Small loads, a good liquid detergent -( Tesco's own brand biological is as good as any of the more expensive ones), and a 50-60 degree wash, is as good as bleaching for most things. Apply some liquid detergent directly onto any stains before washing.

You can only add bleach to cotton or linen, your undies will go grey, if you do use bleach a cap full with the powder is enough, never use bleach with any colours.
