I love to cook and showed my daughters and had them cook meals. They cook for their boyfriends now. I think a lot of mother's still show their daughters how to prepare meals.

My mum is an excellent cook and always made meals from scratch, no processed rubbish. And she often involved me and my sister in cooking from a very early age. So we grew up knowing how to throw a meal together from fresh ingredients.

These days, parents spend very little time with their carpet lickers and quite often food involves taking it out of cardboard sleeve, ramming a fork into the film lid and putting it in the microwave for 5 mins. Disgusting eh? Shouldn't be allowed to have kids!

But seriously, you got to be some kind of thick **** if you can't knock together a roast dinner.

Im 23 and can cook, clean, wash and iron. I did ever since I was 12, was taught by my mum and cook books. It would be nice to think that mothers and daughters have time together to do such activites together, I think it is valuable bonding time between the two generations.

No. This is not a bad thing; women aren't just domesticated anymore. It's ok if they can't cook a roast. By the way, I'm sorry to hear that man.

and what century do you live in. since most of the best cooks are male i suggest you get one of their cook books or video and cook a sunday roast for your wife instead. either that or marry Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsey.

Learn to cook one yourself.... Guaranteed to impress any girl. Good point of conversation too and roasts are pretty easy. My mum showed me when I was about 13.

I dindnt know how to cook. Im still not the greatest at it but my husband loves to cook maybe you should learn how. There are a lot of bigger things to worry about in marriage than cooking.

Do your own cooking. If you get married to have a just to have a cook save your money and hire a housekeeper.
