I know it is a deep tragedy to the families and friends of the two firefighters, but what about the family who owned the warehouse who have lost everything (ie house, business, vehicles, family pets etc.). In what is left of this Christian society do we not give them our support just before Christmas, especially the children?

Most people will probably assume that they were insured. However, who would want to cover a firework factory? It will provide an ideal opportunity for the health and safety police to get involved, with further calls to ban fireworks. Of course, it was very sad about the two firefighters.

Personally I think fireworks should be banned altogether. Children are burned every year and left scared for life and animals are hurt and tortured and frightened.
What really puzzles me is why are we celebrating a crime..........it would have been a hell of a bigger fire if Guy Fawks had succeded.
These poor fire fighters, risk their lives every day to protect us and these two men have died for no good reason. If we didn't want fireworks there would have been no warehouse fire, and they would still be alive.
God bless them and their families, you have been left without these good men in their lives.
I think the loss of a life is more important than the loss of a job or material things, these can be replaced, a life cannot.

Apparently the company involved had previously been convicted for storing explosives without a license.
If they are guilty of the same thing again then the whole weight of the law should be brought to bear on them.
Explosives should be stored in secure premises well out of the way of other property which may be vulnerable.
Heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by this tragedy.

I think that there obviously must be a Question asked as to the Safety aspect of Storing explosives,i.e. Fireworks. Also do we really need to allow the Public, persee/ to have Fireworks to celebrate that part of History that depicts the near "over through" of " A Government"?

The building is a known fire hazard, they would have had to get a license and things to do business and meet regular checks. Fireman are, or at least should be aware of the risks involved in their job.
These things happen I'm afraid, not a lot you, me or yahoo answers can do about it.

my opinion about the fireworks fire is that its a set up .it wouldnt surprise me if the government didnt have a hand in it so at a future date they can ban them under the pretext that they are explosives .with all of the health and safety laws around today you would assume that the fireworks(pyrotechnics)would be stored under the highest safety conditions .meaning that these storage facillities are damn near impregnable .so how did the fire start .ask yourself the question ?
inside job ?
gov interferance?
bad luck ?

The manufacture, storage, sale and use of fireworks should be banned immediately. They are an uneccessary danger to the live and limb of everybody in the UK.

It a dreadful thing ,it should never have happened, we go on about terrorists, and being aware of bombers, and then shops in this country sell fireworks ( gunpowder!!) over the counter! the mind boggles.
