i have upon reboot on my welcome user name screen a message from msn hotmail, unread e.mails. i deleted the e.mails being junk, but now i cant get the message off my welcome screen.how would i get rid off it.

I had that for a while as well, it just went away one day!!

you've turned on your computer's email notification - if you turn it off, you shouldn't get that message any more.
