Statistically IQ Ratings mean:
People are mentally deficient / impaired / retarded (under 70)
People have Intelligence Quotient scores between 90 and 110
People are very superior in intelligence (over 130)
People are near genius or genius (over 140)

From a cross cultural perspective, IQ means little to nothing. Measures of intelligence of genius in music, art, foreign language acquisition, etc, can't be measured either. 124 is good by westernized standards: completely meaningless in real life at times, especially since the world is full of geniuses who have limited social skills or abilities and who subsequently end up as floor sweepers, garbage collecters and station attendants.
My thinking is that emotional intelligence (also tough to quantify) is a greater measure of success in our world.
By the way, my IQ score is 86 (I was tested in the US when I spoke limited English),... and yet, somehow, I have a Ph.D. in psychology and went to a top 20 ranked program. I have a 6 figure income and am viewed as highly successful and competent. So, I would venture that that 124 looks good only on paper... it's what you do with it (or my supposed 86, which places me at the borderline range) that counts.

An overall score of 124 is above average and a good score. Generally, a score over 130 is thought to be in the "high" range.

Yes this is good but i wouldn't put much faith in I.Q tests found on the net. As for the different levels then anything around the 90 mark is considered average (obviously anything below this is considered below average) scores 100 + then this is above average when you start talking about people with score's around the 150+ mark then you can generally apply the term genius.Well done on your score and if you want to do a good intelligance qouta test then contact MENSA.

usual score of IQ is one hundred, a hundred and ten-a hundred and twenty is such as you're clever, one hundred thirty+ in particularly clever,one hundred forty-150 is a genius and above which you're a different individual probably in worlds a million% genius class!

mine is 132 n when i told my boss his comment was that i wasnt allowed to take the test twice and add my scores together! think he was jealous lol
