Yes. Here in Australia, we have had a deeply conservative govt for years, led by one of the wacko "Coalition of the Killing". Anyway, they've introduced these unfair labour laws that shift the balance of power in the workplace totally in favour of the employer, and leave workers with little or no rights. Now, any dodgy employer can sack you for any reason, and he can say it's for "operational reasons", which can mean anything and nothing.
So yes, the recent social (and political) conditions of promoting fear and distrust amongst people does extend to the workplace. We need to turn this around, and focus on restoring fairness, empathy and justice, away from the more selfish, materialistic and uncaring societies we have become. Vote in people who actually care and don't wanna participate in violence against mostly poor innocents in other countries. Peace!

It does. The impact of social conditions such as
* a growing senior population
* exploding technological advancements
* the evolving structure of families
is so pervasive that there are developing great inequalities that upper management may not be monitoring closely enough.
Take for instance the structure of families. Ask any parent of young children. It is difficult to raise children, fulfill the roles of extra added pressures of dealing with after school activities and be effective at work.
It is not unusual for parents to frequently ask for shift changes, schedule changes and special areas to work. Often they will band together and negotiate advantages for themselves and their lifestyles. This will be won over time, but at the cost of the other employees who will get the lousy shifts, cast off days, sudden schedule changes. etc.
The other social conditions are the following;

single parent families, marriage rates
Health life expectancy, teen pregnancy
Income prevalence of low income, income after tax
Justice , Labour force unemployment rate, housing.

The perception will be that the most accomodating segment of the workforce will be
1. SIngle persons
2. SIngle persons with no children
3. Seniors with grown children
4. Adults with older children

Most often they will be the victims of any inequality and discrimination instead of being valued.
Why? Bad hiring practices for middle managers.

Some women, gays & lesbians, Non-white people, disabled people etc may be able to give insight into racism, sexism, intolerance and how it is experienced in the workplace. Bullying, skapegoating, ignoring, undervaluing and plagiarism are just some factors used to perpetuate the social condition.

inequality? with regards to what?

old/ young? male /female? black /white? Experience or lack of? Rates of pay? Maybe the job is the wrong one for a particular person who could excel in other fields. The truth is....THERE IS NO INEQUALITY? its just your own perception, your get out clause for feeling inferior brought on by your lack of self worth or inability to cope with the environment you find yourself in.

I dont feel superior or inferior to anyone because of their age colour size money etc....i do find myself in awe of peoples abilities but thats just it ..ability. Everyone is born equal..agreed we dont all get the same chances and some folk are apparently handed a silver spoon.... but since reaching the age where you could leave home to fend for yourself, the ball is in your court. your life is what YOU make it and not what you allow others to turn it into. INEQUALITY? no such thing if you feel unequal...do something about it to better yourself dont flip the coin to make out its some kind of degradation. Believe in yourself. You have a purpose, find it.

Hmm, that's a good deep question. Immature bosses who pick immature people who don't work as their favorites really makes for a bad workplace. (I've witnessed this.)

Certain prejudices by bosses and other workers can create inequality in the work place.

the social condition enforces the feeling that money is vital to live on this planet.
Therefore we work to make someone else rich so that we can get a tiny slice of their pie.
The leaders become rich fat cats, whilst us scum work like buggery instead of overthrowing them the rat .......
