I have to write my essay on Schizophrenia. I have all the information. I have a little note on how to use AAPA style, but how would I use my informations to write it in APA style? My first question about it is, what do they mean by "method"? How did I researched my works? I went to teh library, got books, took notes, went tonline, etc. But how is that related to "method"? How would I state my research the "method" way?
For my researched, here's what Im covering:
*What is schizophrenia (and background information on it)
*Symptoms
*types of schizophrenia
*phases
*cause of schizophrenia
*teraments
*preventions of schizophrenia
Okay, so how would I put this in an APA style? which part of my research is going to be my "method"? I do have subjects under several of these listed topics (i.e. types of schizophrenia) HELP?!

APA format is used as a standard for publication of original research in academic journals. The methods section is where experimental procedures are explained. Since you didn't run any experiments, you don't have a methods section. Typically, when professors ask their undergrad students to write APA-format papers, they are just looking for you to use APA-style citations and references. Of course, you may want to check with your instructor to see if he/she has any specific criteria for the assignment.

I agree with Phaedra, but if your teacher says that you must have a method, I'd say something like: reviewed a selection of published literature about various issues related to schizophrenia.
