I am using pure copper wire in sculpture and would like to add some glass accents to the ends of the 12 guage wire. The problem is that I can not get the molten glass to take to the hot copper so I can spin and wrap it. The wire is clean and abraded and I have tried acid etching it also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Watching the glass-spinner in the mall, I noticed that he used a powder on the wire first. Try going to one of the glassblowing pages on the net, I found numerous helpful sights by doing a search for glass jewels.
