So I don't know exactly what happened. My little sister likes to type with Microsoft Word but doesn't actually use words she just presses random keys and she has managed to mess up Word. Now everytime I go into it it has her jibberish on it, and instead of using spaces there is dots in between the words. How do go about fixing this? I asked the tech support people and hthey have no clue.

Search for the "Normal.dot" file and rename it and restart word, it should return to the default settings. It should be in your "Documents and Settings" folder(there maybe more than one).

In Word 2003 on the standard toolbar (on the left of zoom) you have something called " Show/Hide "}} " somthing like that :)

She might have accidently clicked that button. Click it again to turn it off.

Firstly check whether its default template has changed. Also, check the font, change it to Times Roman and then type.
