i dotnsee how it can be decisded either way, the success at finding relationships is different for each person, it depends on personality looks and luck, i'd say women have less luck of starting a relationship with lasting potential, but when they choose from the heart and the feelings are reciprocated then they are more successfull. if you get what i mean.

considering that half the population is men and half are women, seems to me it'd be about equal...of course that's not counting gays...i don't know what % of gays are women and what are men, but out of straight people, i'd guess it's about equal.
