18, and have credit, or you'll probably end up paying a deposit.

0 age but i would assume 16 because its not the age its the credit.
the cell phone company will do a credit check on you and as long as you have good credit they will aprove you for an account. the only way to get credit is through credit cards and credit companys wont look at you if you are under 16. some kids got it made cause there parents opened them an credit account when they was younger and added them to there cards so they have been establishing credit so those kids might be able to be younger.
anyway if you have a social security number in the united states and that number has a good credit score you can get a cell phone at 16

i have had a cellular telephone considering that i replaced into 6... it relies upon on the mum and father. She ought to get a pre-paid telephone from objective (they have Virgin cellular and develop and they are quite good). They run from 15 to 100 and fifty funds. She ought to purchase it herself with in spite of money she has or you should get it for her. Then the whole-up playing cards should be bought throughout, and are available in diverse quantities. She ought to pay her bill that way through spending 5 or 10 funds at the same time as needed to top off the phone's minutes. it ought to prepare some accountability for her to be procuring it.

that depends i guess, you can get a cricket phone at any age their plan is unlimited mins text and crap like that for 45 but after tax its really 55 they have no credit checks no contracts and you just pay monthly at a site, now i don't know if they have them in your area or not but if they don't then sorry to say 18 and you'll have to put down a deposit unless by some miracle you have good credit at that age

In most countries a minor is not legally able to enter into a contract.
So, you will be able to get your own contract when you reach the age of majority in your country.

You have to pass a credit check - hard to do if you're not an adult with a full time job.
