It's ridiculous. Time doesn't help! It was 25 years ago. I said something stupid to him and I lost him that way. Couldn't forget him though. Then 20 years ago I really decided to forget about him because I realized that our views about life were so different. I thought I had succeded. 15 years ago when I saw him last, I was happy to realize that he seemed so unattractive to me and that we were just extremely different. 6 months ago I saw him again. Can't stop thinking about him since then. It's crazy. I have everything in life to be happy without him. I'm not looking for a romantic relationship with him. I'm married, have two lovely kids. I'd like to be friends with him. But it just doesn't seem to be possible at the moment and I need some peace of mind! I've been to Rome, been to England, been trying to mix with a lot of other people, trying to busy my mind with yahoo.aswers...

Let me ask you a question: Do you like cold showers? because your walking on thin ice here.

You said you have two lovely children but, you failed to mention a husband, I assume you have one? but, either don't think much of him or, don't love him, which is it?

So, what you want to do is have an affair, with an old flame to see if the fire is still hot, not with standing the idea that there are others to consider, a husband, his wife, if he has one.

You sound like a cold heartless person, that's the only words they'll let me use here.
I would suggest you pull yourself together and get a life. You have children to watch over, a husband that, if you took notice could make life better if you tried maybe.
What do you expect out of life, Why don't you dress the kids up this Sunday and take them to church, examine your conscious, see what lurks behind those devious eyes maybe there's someone in there that can come out.

Well my Dear, it's about time you try something new or should I say "not trying". Now, you've tried for 20 or 25 years and nothing happened, what makes you think it's going to happen now.

I've been there, not for as long as you have, but I know.
All I did, was stop trying to tell myself that I want to forget about someone I once loved and cared for, and perhaps will always love and care for, maybe not in the same context as husband and wife. But you will always care for that person. The truth is you don't forget about people you care for and love.

Well, he sounds like poison to you. I wouldn't an alcoholic a drink, so I can't tell that it is a good idea to be friends with him. Some things need to be left in the past. Remember the good memories. But, please, leave the memories in the past.

i think, if ur really interested in this guy, the next time u see him, spend some time to know him, but tell ur husband its just a normal relationship. in my opinion, u can't really forget the image of someone ur curious in. so, dont waste ur time just thinking about him. get to know him...

You have already answered you own question. If he saw what you have written here, he would feel truly blessed.

Speak to him and tell him how you feel. It will do you both very good.

God bless you.

Think of your family. Let it go.

If this was you're partner feeling this, would you be devastated?
