Don't wash it the first 2 days after it's dyed. The hair follicles need time to close, and seal in the colour. Try to wash it only every 2 days, and use a colour protecting conditioner.

Pureology works better than anything I have ever tried. It is pricey, but then again so is a dye job, so it seems worth it to me. Generally I have found that if I use the Pureology products it takes my hair color twice as long to fade. Also, try not to wash your hair more than twice a week. If you are used to washing your hair every day it will take a while to adjust, but once your hair gets used to it your hair will look better than it ever has.

Whatever you do - PLEASE DON"T EVER put nail polish in your hair as one of the respondents has suggested (He/she's got to be joking)! Can you imagine how much nail polish you'll need and how on earth will you get it out? Yikes! Now back to your question: Not washing it too frequently and using a color friendly shampoo/conditioner helps.

I used the pantene blonde expressions when i died my hair and i thought it worked very well, or try john freida's colour glaze in blonde, it helps maintain and restore your colour and give it extra shine.

You should use clear nailpolish and apply it to your hair before bed. It should enamle your hair into being permanently preserved into that haircolor and do. YUMYUM.

you should just keep on coloring it. but it depends on what you did. like if its a regular color then make sure you get the exact same one. but if its like blue or something like i had... well its really all the same.
